DIN Rail Power Supplies for Regions Experiencing Mains Voltage Fluctuations
Some regional areas in Australia experience noticeable fluctuations in the AC mains voltage supply.
For example, in rural areas where mains power runs on a SWER (single wire earth return) system and can be highly variable.
Mains voltage fluctuations can be caused by many factors including weather (either dry or wet), ground moisture and power line damage on adjacent circuits.
ADM recommends the MEAN WELL WDR series DIN rail power supplies for installation in such areas.
The WDR series has a wide AC input voltage range, so it can easily cope with fluctuation in the AC mains voltage.
These power supplies are also useful for applications that are powered by generators, or in industrial environments that experience large intermittent peak loads.
The below table shows the range of models available, all of which are stocked by ADM.

Part Number / Link to Product Information |
Input Voltage Range |
Voltage / Current Output |
|---|---|---|
|
180 ~ 550VAC |
12V / 10A | |
| 180 ~ 550VAC | 24V / 5A | |
| 180 ~ 550VAC | 48V / 2.5A | |
| 180 ~ 550VAC | 24V / 10A | |
| 180 ~ 550VAC | 48V / 5A | |
| 180 ~ 550VAC | 24V / 20A | |
| 180 ~ 550VAC | 48V /10A |
All models are backed by a 3-year warranty and feature a relay contact output for ‘DC OK’, which is very useful for integration into monitoring systems.
