ADELSystem new CBI600 Series with Ethernet Available from ADM!

The CBI600 series is a compact DIN rail-mounted DC-UPS designed to provide continuous power to DC loads, whilst charging connected batteries. This system supplies the load from a single-phase AC source and maintains an appropriate charge level in the onboard batteries. In the event of a mains power failure, the DC-UPS moves to supplying the load from the onboard battery (always online).

This range of DC-UPS features single-phase 115~277 VAC inputs and can supply the battery float voltage, either 24VDC or 48VDC output, depending on the model. The CBI600 features a 600W power rating and supplies both load and battery charging simultaneously.

The CBI series supports lithium-ion, lead-acid, nickel-cadmium and GEL batteries, with selected charging profiles optimised for each type. These profiles consist of five charging levels: recovery, bulk, absorption, boost and float. Users can customise these parameters to suit the battery manufacturer’s requirements and the installation's needs.

CBI600 Communication & Remote Monitoring and Control Capabilities

The CBI600 series has enhanced communication connections to enable greater integration with control systems or remote monitoring systems, ensuring battery and load status are available.

The CBI600 features communication interfaces for integration with control systems, remote diagnostics and local monitoring. This is enabled via a dedicated RJ45/Ethernet port supporting remote access and network communications across a range of protocols, including ModbusTCP/IP, SNMP v1, v2c and v3, and HTTP/HTTPS web-server communications. State of Charge (SoC) and State of Health (SoH) can be monitored in conjunction with the AdelSystem renowned integrated “Battery Health” full impedance test to ensure the batteries can supply the load.

A separate RJ45 interface is enabled to provide CBI control and display functions (Via DPY351 and DPY353) and sensor connections, such as the RJTEMP temperature sensor range.

Alarms and Status Reporting

The CBI600 feature three voltage-free dry-contact outputs that support hardwired connection to alarm systems, PLCs, and building or industrial control systems. These outputs, along with built-in LEDs, indicate mains operation, battery backup operation, system fault or low battery status, and rectifier failure.

These CBI600 units are IP20 rated for ingress protection and can be stored in a control box, power cabinet, or weatherproof enclosure to protect against dust and moisture from the intended environment.
