DC Uninterruptible Power Supplies for Generator Sets

Adel System’s CBI range of DIN rail mountable DC uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) are ideal for use with generator sets.

The key advantage that the Adel UPS units give you is their intelligent multistage charging system. Not only does it simultaneously charge the batteries, whilst powering the DC systems. It also enhances your battery life.

The charging system incorporates four charging stages:

Recovery of flat batteries
Bulk charge with constant current
Absorption charging at constant voltage (or Power Boost if fast charger is enabled)
Float charge for maintenance

During each stage, the battery is tested to provide rapid diagnostics and to ensure excellent management of the transition from one charging stage to another, according to the specific response of the battery.

It is this careful management of the charging of your batteries that prolongs their lifecycle.

Of course, the Adel System CBI UPS will provide an uninterrupted DC output from batteries should the generator failure.

It can provide alarms for alerting stakeholders of generator failure, with dry contact outputs for the following alarm functions:

Battery Low
Replace Battery
System Fault

Adel System’s larger CBI UPS’ can provide connectivity for monitoring and status reporting from remote locations via MODBus RTU, and can be used with the DPY351 UPS controller and display for ethernet connectivity.

The DPY351 allows you to see all the devices that are connected to an ADELBus Network and has an Ethernet input for remote connection.
