High-Powered Railway DC to DC Converter Available from ADM – Premium PSU CBS-10K DC to DC Converter

The CBS-10K DC-DC Converter is now available for order from ADM.

This range of high-powered, single-output DC/DC converters is designed for railway operations, particularly for assisting in supplying the onboard rectifier to crank the diesel train engine. This is enabled by the CBS-10K peak power capability, which can ramp to 10kW for 40 seconds, providing power for engine ignition.

The CBS-10K offers options for 24VDC, 48VDC, 72VDC, and 110VDC, each with a power rating up to 10,000W, except the 24VDC, which produces 5200W.

The CBS-10K provides exceptionally high galvanic isolation (5000 Vrms), insulating onboard train electronics from high-voltage surges. Additionally, the CBS-10K is certified to EN50155 and EN45545-2.

These DC-to-DC converters also feature RS232, with additional options for CANBUS communication, enabling users to program input/output alarms and remotely monitor the unit's condition.

The CBS-10K features onboard cooling via an internal fan and can remain operational between -25°C and +55°C at full load.
